I don’t really care for the late 1840’s-early 1850’s. Also, the styles of the 30’s and 40’s just don’t interest me that much.

I’m pretty much the same. 1) No long gloves from the late 1830’s through early 1870’s. 2) I personally find the whole crinoline and hoopskirt deal overdone and overfussy.
